Tasked by East Timor council to remedy a struggling economy and an array of issues, the answer lay in tourism. Urging travelers to embark on a journey there, even amid the nation's ongoing preparations, enhancing the thrill of the experience. Tourists spent their dollars in local establishments and the economy receives a boost. Our creative platform encapsulated this ethos: "For the traveler, not the tourist." A secondary hurdle involved crafting an art direction imbued with a native touch, evoking the essence of East Timorese involvement. Personally engaging with the project, I took on the task of hand-painting each mural, infusing authenticity into the endeavor.
